The United States Pandemic Response: Lessons from the H1N1 Pandemic of 2009

Join former Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius in conversation about the H1N1 Pandemic of 2009 and what lessons that pandemic might have for our current situation.

This event is a part of a Goldman School graduate-level course: PP155/255: Introduction to Security Policy.

Janet Napolitano served as the Secretary of Homeland Security in the Obama Administration. She is also a former governor of Arizona and the former president of the University of California. She directors the Goldman School’s Center for Security in Politics.

Kathleen Sebelius served as Secretary of Health and Human Services in the Obama Administration. She is one of America’s foremost experts on national and global health issues, human services, and executive leadership. As CEO of Sebelius Resources LLC, she provides strategic advice to companies, investors, and non-profit organizations.
